My brother has been working for Intex pool for about a year now. Every couple weeks or so we get together to have dinner and shoot the breeze, and last time we hung out he started telling me that his company was doing really well. He started saying they were hiring all kinds of people and even opening up offices all across the country. As he went on and on about above ground pool pumps and all kinds of other equipment, I started thinking what a savvy investment it might be to buy stock in this company.

It has been quite a while since I added to any of my long positions in my portfolio, so the next day I decided to give my broker a call. We talked about performance in the bond markets and how well gold and silver have been doing, but then I started telling him about intex swimming pools. I told him everything that my brother had told me and he said that he would look into picking up some of their stock. I told him that I didn’t want to attack this too boldly, but that I wanted to buy some of their paper so that I could ride this financial wave, if there indeed was one coming to this industry.
